A Message for Unity
It's a BIG DAY in America... & No Matter How You Feel, It's Our Duty to RISE UP & Be Kind
My loves, wow. Hi. This feels like the most important post I could possibly write during this time, so naturally that’s what I’m gonna do. I might get a little hate for this, and as much as that is hard for me to stomach (recovering people pleaser forevs, lol) I’m writing it anyway. My work as a healer, channel, and light worker has never felt more important. I feel like there is quite literally no point in having a public platform (or being a writer, or even incarnating here on this planet if we’re getting real) if you can’t share your thoughts, so here I go sharing mine.
If you live on planet Earth, you probably know that we have a new president elect, as of last night. Whether you’re thrilled about it or devastated by it, hear me out: we have a lot of work to do. We are still all ONE. The polarization and divisiveness does not come from the light. It comes from a place of darkness that tries to keep us separated and unwell; it’s judgment masked as standing on a pedestal and preaching all of the many reasons why we’re better than the other because we believe a certain thing. When you’ve been through some shit in your life, it’s easy to see it so clearly.
Here’s the kicker, and this is what REALLY surprises me as a spiritual being, living among a lot of spiritual healers, influencers, and more. The hate and divisiveness I’m seeing from all over but specifically the not-winning party (*ahem*), is WILD. It is not just appalling, but atrocious. The name calling, the holier than thou attitude, the shaming, the virtue signaling, the complete unwillingness to see a viewpoint that doesn’t fit a specific narrative is… sickening. Really hard to watch. There is a lot of misinformation and miseducation but that’s not really where I want to go with this.
As a healer what I care about is people. I care about friendships and connection and loving my neighbor. There was a quote posted today by EJ Gaines that says, “Today, there are people close to me who are glad, people close to me who are indifferent, and people close to me who are devastated. And I intend to remain close to each one of them. That’s my work to do.”
Now let’s go deeper & I’ll give you the real juice (also going to give you some notes from the Stoics, my all-time faves)…
