BABY & MAMA MUST-HAVES! Non-toxic, Organic, Low EMF & Chic
how to stock your registry & get all of the best organic, non-toxic items for baby & mama
Hi, my loves! This might be my most requested post, like ever. A baby-must have list is not glamorous by any means but it’s definitely something you’re going to need as you step into motherhood—or as you embrace the next phase of motherhood, if you’re already a mom! And even though it may not be glamorous, I’m here to tell you that prepping for bébé can still be chic, fun, stress-free, and a special adventure as you leap into this next, magical phase of your life.
Step one: don’t get overwhelmed!!! You’re already killing it.
First thing’s first: all of this is STUFF. As your baby grows, some of it will be a necessity. Some of it will be just for fun. Some of it will be to appease your own aesthetic desires and some of it will be the exact opposite. 😂 But if you are a first-time mom getting your list together and feeling all of the ~stress~, please know that all your baby needs in the first few weeks of life are: diapers, bottles / formula, your boobs if you’re breastfeeding, a few outfits, and a bassinet. Oh, and a carseat for coming home from the hospital. That’s it! The rest you can acquire with time!
But if you’re like me, you probably want to get most of this stuff ahead of time and that is great too. Whether you are a mama who is fully decorating the nursery down to a tee before baby arrives, or you’re just winging it minimally with a bassinet in your room or co-sleeping, it’s all perfect. Do what works for you and leave the rest to figure out as you go. As long as your baby comes into a loving home with a family who can’t wait to meet them, they already have everything they will ever need. <3
Also, this list is almost all non-toxic to the best of my ability. I consider myself a crunchy, holistic mom who knows way too much about toxins & pollutants in our environment so I try to avoid them at all costs. Is this list perfect in that realm? No, because we don’t live in a perfect world. But it is all TBB-approved, and I am a tough critic!
Things to keep in mind when building a non-toxic baby registry:
Organic
GOTS certified
GOLS certified
Made safe
Greenguard certified
What I always make sure to avoid, ingredients-wise:
phthalates
GMOs
synthetic fibers
parabens
fragrance
PFAs
heavy metals
flame retardants
petrochemicals
polyurethane foam
PCBs
Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s dive into the list! This list is broken down by category for you to make it easy-peasy. And of course, there is a MOM section too because mama is going to need some new items right alongside of baby! Let’s dive into it!
Everything is linked for your ease, and on a handful of these products I make a small amount of commission if you purchase from my links!
