I Got a Book Deal! With My Dream Publisher!

Is it Fall 2026 yet?!?! Sharing the whole story with you <3

Can I just break the invisible writing rules for a second and start this post with a big: OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG O-M-F-G!!!!!!!!! IT IS HAPPENING! I GOT A BOOK DEAL! And I can finally share it with you… which means it finally feels REAL!!!! IT’S HAPPENING. LFG, BABY.

I am sobbing as I write this—and that’s not an exaggeration. I am actually ugly crying while hunched over my laptop in bed writing this; think Kim Kardashian’s scrunched up cry face when she lost her diamond earrings in the ocean. Except happy tears. The most joy-filled, relieved, heart-exploding, gratitude-drenched tears I've ever cried.

After blogging professionally for the last 12 years but really blogging in some form or another since I got my first computer in third grade (AOL chatrooms, anyone?), I have always been one of those people who doesn’t feel something is fully real or definitely happening until I can share it with my community—for better or for worse. But since that facet of my personality built my entire career and has divinely connected me to what I believe is the best community on the whole world wide web… we’re going to say it’s *for the better.*

So now that I can finally tell you that my book, A BRIDGE BETWEEN WORLDS, is really, truly happening—it feels to ME that I can finally celebrate and take a big, decade’s long, much awaited, exhale. On October 31st, 2024 (such an auspicious day, in the best way) I got an early morning call from my literary agent that turned out to be *THE* call. It was finally happening!!!! Hachette Book Group, and their imprint Balance, had officially made an offer on my book, and we were no doubt accepting.

The amazing editor Diana Ventimiglia, who I had spoken with about a month beforehand and fallen head over heels in love with as an complice de cœur, fought for my book and jumped through hoops to make this deal happen. My agent Sarah (whom I have been with since I was a baby blogger, more than ten years ago, who brought my first book Breaking Vegan to life with me) and her brilliant assistant Melissa have been working with me on this book for years. YEARS.

I first came to Sarah with this idea more than 9 years ago… in her gut she knew it wasn’t time yet. At the time, it was a spiritual awakening kundalini book. Then I got sick—like REALLY fucking sick. For the rest of my entire 20’s and early 30’s. And that’s when the pulsing heart of this book started weaving its way through me. Whispering to me, guiding me, holding my hand in my darkest moments—breaking the fourth wall when I was ready to give up on life to tell me: “Don’t give up, you came to earth to WRITE THIS BOOK. But first you have to go through the healing journey. The portal itself!!! The final step of healing will be birthing the book into reality. Trust the process. Stay the course. This is your reason for being.”

Even when I didn’t want to, I trusted it. Even when it was ferociously painful to wait, I stayed the course. I wanted to write this book and bring it into the world a million times before the right time appeared. I tried, tried again, tried MORE, and then started all over again. I wrote this book in hundreds of notebooks, in thousands of pages, in poems and heartspills and ayahuasca-guided visions and Akashic Records visits and full on channeled brain dumps SO many times. This book is as much a part of me as my own beating heart is a part of me. It is my life’s work, and my life’s mission.

It’s also, dare I say, the beginning of my new career—the career I have been waiting to step into since I was five-years-old. Author Jordan. FULL-time author Jordan. The reason, other than my kids and husband, that I am even alive. Because trust me, several times a day I ask myself why I am even here… and why on earth the pain has chosen to wrap its little fists around me… and it’s because of this: this book. My legacy. What I can leave behind when I’m gone.

Many iterations of this book have taken place since that 9-years-ago conversation with Sarah, it has literally be written and re-written over a hundred times (I wish I was joking lol) and I plan to re-write it again to make it perfect, heaven sent, channeled and exactly what it’s meant to be at this time in space, for all of you. Then two and a half years ago, I called Sarah (from my childhood bedroom, I’ll never forget it) and told her it was go time. I had a proposal written for A Bridge Between Worlds (formerly called The Healer is You) and I was ready to rock. The journey that brought us to Hachette (ILY Diana) was 2.5 years long… and a decade in the making.

Not to mention, remember this story: I Was Strung Along for 7 Months by my Dream Publisher? Well they certainly are not my dream publisher anymore, lol. Hachette all day, baby. But also, what a divine reminder that we are always being protected. That what is meant to be, will always be. That what we think we want is not necessarily what our true path is destined for, and that the universe will always intervene in the best and most beautiful ways to make sure that what’s meant for us will never miss us, and what’s meant to miss us will never be.

I hope that story of me being rejected by the publisher I thought I wanted to be with can remind you, if you are in that season of waiting that I was in for many, many years, that your divine outcome is orchestrating itself just so. Your dream is around the corner, no matter what it is—a book deal, your soulmate, your future children, your dream job, your massive career success, whatever you are calling in, it is coming. Because the universe works in mysterious & magical ways, beyond what we can ever even begin to fathom.

So now you’re probably wondering, what is the book about!??! WELL LET ME TELL YA!

I know I have talked a lot about this book over the years, and I have also talked a lot about my fiction book. So to clear things up, this book is not the fiction! The fiction will still be releasing on Substack this year as planned. :) A Bridge Between Worlds is my story. It’s a modern day version of Louise Hay’s You Can Heal Your Life, but with a very Jordan spin. And WAY MORE out there, because the world is ready for it. Think Pleiadians and the interconnectedness of spirituality & chronic illness/pain, especially Lyme dis-ease. Think Joe Dispenza if he was a 30-something blonde mom who talks to aliens and sits with ayahuasca. Think Gabby Bernstein (my idol) as far as self-help goes, but Esther Hicks (my other idol) as far as channeling and higher dimensions go. Think THE BALANCED BLONDE in book form. Think HEALING FROM LYME because we all deserve it—in a published tomb that will be available to us, forever and ever.

I am so excited even just talking about it I could SCREAM. The question I get asked every single day, again and again, is “how did you heal?” Which essentially of course means, how can YOU heal too? How can we all feel amazing? How can we all tap into our inner knowing and psychic awakening and trust in a higher force beyond us all to know that we are divinely guided and that our trials (chronic illness, pain, anxiety, depression, divorce, cancer, what have you) are actually our greatest gifts? That our souls actually signed up for these challenges BEFORE we came to earth? They are our Achilles heel and also our superpower. THAT is what this book is about.

I absolutely, one million percent will be sharing with you when preorders are available. The book is coming out in Fall 2026, and as many of you on Instagram have been saying today so far, “Wake me up when it’s 2026” LOL I feel like that needs to be my next merch slogan. The blessing of it coming out in 1.5 years is that I will continue to pour my everything into it between now and then, and will manifest my own deepest, truest, larger than life health and alignment to be sprinkled into the book—just for you.

Because I never wanted to write a book just to write one. I want to write a book to change your life. To rock your world. To give you something you can keep on your nightstand and gift to your friends and return to, time and again, opening to any page you’d like, when you need a little pick-me-up from your long distance best friend (me).
