When you were 5 years old your therapist told me you were a highly sensitive person, when I told her you screamed in pain when I brushed your hair. I had never heard the term before. Love that you've thrived not in spite of but because of❤️❤️❤️
YES!!! because of!! best comment I've ever read!! and the fact that you noticed so early on & did something about it makes you the best mom in the world for real 💖
thank you so much, Kate! this means the world! honored to have you here reading and we loved every single moment in CDA. I already want to go back and/or buy a lake house there one day ahhh!!
I feel this in my soul. I definitely believe us HSPs came to create change in the world — that we specifically have to navigate painful experiences because we’re uniquely able to transmute that pain and share in ways that uplift and guide the way to others. But dang, it can be a tough path sometimes! Always helps to know there are others who truly, truly get it. 🤍
I could not possibly agree more. and the name of your substack says it ALL. we are not too sensitive. we are simply too powerful. feeling it all, transmuting it all, it's a heavy but amazing job. I am so proud of us <3
So true. I can relate… both to being HSP and peoples projections. Forgive and release… just happily wrote about that today actually, but that posts won’t come out until November 8th. 💗😄
as someone who was told they were too much or "acting out" growing up in a small town and conservative christian school, THANK YOU for this. Now more than ever I am learning that being highly emotional is my GIFT and honoring that is the whole point 🤍
I would also get lost in my dream world as a kid for hours on end. And still do so today. Like before I fall asleep I would always go to my perfect world and envision how I would like my life to work
“i believe that i was born to follow the breadcrumbs of my soul perhaps more than most, because if i don’t, i get extremely depressed & then everything stops working.”
Jordan, you have no idea how much I needed to read this words. As a HSP who has been trying to survive the corporate/ agency world for the past decade, I completely admire your willingness to put yourself out there and share your soul with us.
This morning I could hardly get out of bed, but your words gave me the spark I needed today. Thank you, thank you, thank you. 🙏🏼
